Verdict

Only five runners go to post for this maiden but it looks to be a match-up between Formation and Tamasou, with narrow preference for the first mentioned. Ed Dunlop's colt is lightly-raced and he was only narrowly beaten last time behind Forgotten Voice at Lingfield. The race was not really run to suit that day and with today's step-up in trip a plus for him, he can gain his compensation. Tamasou has run well on both of his starts so far but he will need to improve if he is to get his head in front today. He is also racing on the all-weather for the first time so the percentage call is to take him on. Gaitskel represents a yard that do well here but he will need to improve significantly for the step-up in trip to make his presence felt, as he was well beaten over 6f here last time. Bainisteoir showed a modicum of ability last time but he has more on his plate today and we prefer the claims of Formation who sets the standard for the rest.
