        Verdict

        Exceedexpectations had Space War behind when second here last week and is not easily dismissed. California English is proving hard to win with, though he finished ahead of Hail Promenader when beaten only a nose on his latest start. The former had earlier found ONE SCOOP OR TWO four lengths too good at this track and Reg Hollinshead's charge is taken to return to winning ways dropping back down in class today. Rossetti proved disappointing last time but Cono Zur made all to score over track and trip last year and is worth noting on his return to action.
