    Verdict

Silver Panther has been beaten a distance in all four starts over hurdles, in bumpers and here on Tuesday while Ches Jicaro didn't show much here last month though he'll be better for the run. Major Buckley has badly missed the break on both starts to date but has a decent pedigree and may be capable of better. Gunner Will made a bright start as a juvenile but has gone rapidly backwards and was beaten in two sellers in the autumn and a long way over this C&D last month so it's CHARLCOT who gets the nod by process of elimination. He ran well when just touched off by Stylistickhill over the C&D in October before finding a Class 5 handicap at Southwell too much to handle.
