Verdict

MOON CRYSTAL is our call in a trappy handicap with Redarsene and Quick Off The Mark respected as dangers. Moon Crystal has taken her chances in some fair handicaps at Great Leighs of late and while on balance, this appears to be no easier, the combination of a drop in trip and a helping hand from the handicapper just might change her luck. Redarsene hails from an unfashionable yard. He was in the process of running a decent race at Yarmouth before the saddle unceremoniously slipped. Quick Off The Mark represents a yard that are having winners. She was clearly fancied in a couple of maidens and it will be interesting to see what she has to offer in handicaps. Bramalea won recently over course and distance. The form of that race was upheld by Beetuna on Friday evening. Sir Ike has looked a likely winner on a couple of occasions and it would be no surprise to see him supported again. August Gale was rated in the high 80's when trained by Mark Johnston. First time blinkers have been applied by Gerald Kelly. Casino Night has been in good heart and showed plenty of tenaciousness when obliging at Newmarket on Friday. Talon can be forgiven a below par run on heavy going at Ayr. MOON CRYSTAL is our recommendation.
