In depth

Verdict

Another wide open contest here with many in with chances on their best form but the main protagonists look to be Gallego, Eforetta and David's Symphony and the tentative vote is given to Eforetta. The selection won a banded stakes race in good style last time out when beating Befriend and although this looks tougher he remains on a fair mark and is taken to win again. Gallego rates the main danger as he has won his last two races in good style, notably when beating Forehand last time out. However he has risen in the weights as a consequence and off this mark at the likely odds he looks worth taking on. David's Symphony is another worthy of respect on his best form but that has come over six furlongs and he has yet to prove he stays this far, so he is passed over on this occasion. Southern Tide is another that could go well but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when fourth behind Fly To Dubai last time out. Of the remainder Haenertsburg is from a yard in form and could run well at a price, but his overall form leaves him with a little to find and for the winner we return to Eforetta.
