Ceris Star, Canina and Alto Vertigo are the three to focus on here, with Ceris Star taken to live up to his name. Having won over this course and distance three outings ago, Ceris Star was back on the winning trail at Kempton last time over this trip. The handicapper clearly wasnt over impressed, allotting only a three pound higher mark but Ceris Star can take advantage. Canina has been kept busy since losing her maiden tag here in February and was a staying on second here over six furlongs last time. Stepped up a furlong here, Canina has found seven furlongs beyond her previously and is opposed. Alto Vertigo has been placed in three of his five starts to date and is less exposed than his rivals. He too is stepping up in trip but is lightly weighted and can go well at a nice price. Ceris Star can shine brightly once more.
