In depth

Verdict

Hills Spitfire, Pace Shot and Regal Attire are the three most likely to be there at the finish in this maiden and we will side with Hills Spitfire. The selection has done enough in his last couple of runs to suggest that he should take plenty of beating today. He was a good third behind Consular at Haydock last time and he need only reproduce that effort today to score. Pace Shot may have found the ground too quick at Warwick last time and he is interesting as he was travelling sweetly before fading when third behind Villarrica in that race. He may be worth another chance here and if our selection fails to fire then he could be the one to profit. Regal Attire has given the impression that he will do better when he goes handicapping and as he is now qualified to do so, he is one to note for the future. My Immortal made a pleasing debut and is another worth a look in the market here, but Hills Spitfire has been knocking on the door of late and should finally get his reward for a string of decent efforts this afternoon.
