Verdict

Pearl Ice had looked highly progressive prior to a poor run at Newmarket and should be capable of bouncing back while Lexi's Hero is better than he showed at York last time. Zero Money may need this but Roger Charlton also saddles the three-year-old Rex Imperator, who will strip fitter for his run in a Listed race at Sandown. The consistent KING OF JAZZ has twice finished ahead of Joe Packet this year and was drawn on the unfavoured stands side in the Wokingham at Ascot last week. He's closely matched with Lui Rei on that run but can come out on top today and gain a deserved win. Shropshire has ability but doesn't always show it and the hood is back on again today.
