In a tricky handicap, we will suggest Edge Closer ahead of Sunoverregun and Dora Explorer. Running through these and maybe Yerevan has it to prove from his new mark in terms of winning. Sunoverregun won his maiden here and returns to Turf on a fair mark following a couple of solid all-weather runs, He can go well. Edge Closer won his maiden on good to soft over course and distance and, with the runner-up on that occasion having won a handicap from a mark of 82 this season, well, his chance is there for all to see. Farefield Lodge brings Nottingham maiden winning form into this race, while Buckie Massa is edging up the weights for decent efforts, although he lacks form on good to soft or softer. Dora Explorer holds a chance based on her good Chester effort in May from a five-pounds higher mark - and she races in first-time blinkers today, while Disco Dan needs to get back to his juvenile winning form but cheekpieces are tried today, and Star Strider has been knocking at the door from around today's mark of late and is not ruled out of a good showing. Finally, Kelamon is another that keeps getting raised for placed efforts and may have to settle for, at best, once again. Once again, then, for the selection, we will nominate Edge Closer.
