Verdict

Every one of the six runners can be given a chance in this nursery but CHERRY BEE has more solid claims than most following a fair performance on ground softer than ideal on her first start in this grade at Hamilton last time and Mark Johnston's filly is taken to open her account off a 2lb lower mark today, getting the verdict ahead of Jairzihno and Flaming Miracle. Andrew Balding's colt ran much better when chasing home First Cat at Salisbury on Friday and, off a 1lb lower mark today, he has solid claims provided that this does not come too soon. Mick Channon's Aattash has shown some promise in maidens and could be of interest first time in a nursery, while Llandovery is far from certain to stay the extra furlong having only been staying on at the one pace at the end of his races over seven furlongs. Richard Hannon's Captain Cool was well held on his nursery debut at Beverley and may prefer a softer surface anyway and of more interest may be Jairzihno, who was not disgraced in a better contest than this at Goodwood last time. There is plenty of stamina in the dam side of Cherry Bee's pedigree and she is taken to open her account back on a more suitable surface.
