Verdict

An interesting maiden with the inevitably strong Hannon and Hughes contender in Djinni, seemingly one the unfancied members of the Hannon quartet which went to post in a Newbury maiden earlier this month. She showed plenty of promise however when a staying-on fourth to stable companion Baby Bush over this trip. She should come on for the run and is an obvious choice but Eve Johnson Houghton has enjoyed a good season with juveniles and AJIG is a chance worth taking. She was beaten by a pair of Hannon youngsters on debut here despite looking green and being forced to challenge wide and could offer value against the likely market choice in the hope she'll be more streeetwise second time up. Thatchit and Bewitchment have fair form in the book but both require improvement on previous efforts, whilst newcomers to catch the eye are Tamarasha and the 90,000gns Cumani yearling Zawiyah.
