In depth

Verdict

Good Gorsoon improved on his seasonal debut effort to finish an excellent third at Chester earlier this month and he can return to winning ways this evening, Regal Step and Monsieur Reynard could provide most danger. The Barry Hills trained colt was still a bit green and raced very keenly. If he settles okay tonight he will prove hard to beat. Regal Step has to enter calculations having been successful on her juvenile debut before running well in a couple of decent class one contests. She should go close despite having to carry top-weight. Monsieur Reynard disappointed a little last time out but has a great chance on earlier form. All in all a tricky contest but Good Gorsoon has plenty going for him tonight and he gets the vote.
