Verdict

THE CAYTERERS can land the finale and is selected ahead of Gold Express and Rondeau. He returned to form last time out with the blinkers removed at Great Leighs and was well supported. That came following a switch to Tony Carroll's yard. He's been tried at various trips and even been hurdling, but this seems to be his trip and standard. He sidesteps a similar contest at Kempton today to run here instead. Gold Express gets a quick opportunity to make amends for a disappointing run at Ascot on Saturday in an apprentice handicap. This looks more his level. Rondeau returned to sprinting and won at a price last time out at Kempton. This seems to be his optimum standard and trip.
