Wolgan Valley gets the confident vote in this maiden with Latin Scholar and Sharp Nephew rating the main dangers. The selection was a good second last time out behind Secret Asset. This looks easier and under conditions that suit he is hard to oppose. Latin Scholar rates the main danger on his latest second behind Barbarosa. However that form has since been let down and he is taken on with this in mind. Sharp Nephew is another that could go well as he is a well bred colt by Dr Fong and with his yard back amongst the winners he should be watched in the market. Of the remainder Red Alert Day ran well on his debut and is sure to improve but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time and for the winner we return to Wolgan Valley.
