In depth

Verdict

ADVENTURE STORY can round off the night with another winner for Richard Hannon as she is preferred to Mon Brav, Nubar Boy and Vanilla Rum. The selection beat Jarrow on soft ground at Doncaster when last seen in November but her previous run at Leicester suggests that the ground today will cause no problem. She is preferred to Vanilla Rum despite Henry Candy's runner putting in a bold bid when second to Dever Dream at Leicester. Starlight Muse is still without a win and needs to forget her Doncaster effort, Slikback Jack and Nubar Boy ran good races behind Kelly's Eye at Ripon on different occasions and the latter is of interest with a tongue-tie reapplied, whilst R Woody was struggling to convert his chances on the all-weather when last seen. Mon Brav is more interesting on his fair fifth to Flaneur when well-backed, Grand Zafeen was highly-tried as a juvenile but doesn't look to have trained on, whilst Fawley Green is better than his Salisbury effort would suggest. An open finale then but we are happy to chance Adventure Story.
