In depth

Verdict

Halyard has more to do than when scoring at Bath but there are possibilities about Chain Of Events, successful at Newmarket before finishing second off his new mark at Sandown. Neil King's gelding makes more appeal than Leicester winner Effigy and the penalised Qaraaba. Edgeworth has been found wanting in this grade before while Ken's Girl may need this after a lay-off and has done all of her racing over shorter trips. URBAN SPACE was disappointing on the all-weather over the winter but a return to turf has coincided with a resurgence in form and, well handicapped nowadays, Conor Dore's gelding can regain the winning thread here.
