Titan Triumph is our selection in a tight handicap with Summerstrand and Fountains Abbey likely to be popular. William Knight's charge is likely to be a decent price on account of some frustrating inconsistency in his form figures. He has ran creditably here previously and the handicapper has dropped him to a figure of 76 having raced off 81 earlier in the term. Summerstrand got off the mark at 25/1 in a maiden at Newmarket. The third in that race won a very poor maiden at Thirsk on his next start. Fountains Abbey dotted up on soft ground at this track in July. She looks potentially useful but it will be interesting to see if she can continue to progress against hardened handicappers. Willow Dancer won well at Sandown in what appeared to be a relatively soft race. Nevertheless, the handicapper has stuck on an extra 7lb for that success. Border Owl is out quickly under a penalty following victory in a maiden the other day. He had struggled in handicaps previously. Danetime Panther appeared to have improved for the run when third at Ascot last month. Borntobouggie is hard to evaluate as she has been tried on all extremes of going. Run For Ede's posted a 25/1 shock over course-and-distance in July and would probably not want it too firm in order to follow up. Titan Triumph is our pick.
