In depth

Verdict

Baltic Belle has been running consistently well on the all-weather and on turf of late but Richard Hannon's filly remains a maiden after 13 starts and may have to settle for a minor role again with preference for Cleide da Silva who gets the vote ahead of Princess Zada. The last mentioned stepped up on his reappearance run when running out the winner of a Chepstow handicap last month but Rod Millman's filly may struggle to follow up under her 6lb penalty. Henry Cecil's Voice has yet to live up to his pedigree but may do better now sent handicapping as a three-year-old, while Nicada has yet to reproduce all-weather form on turf. Given the form of Gerard Butler's runners it would come as no surprise to see Risque Heights step up on two-year-old form but a safer bet looks to be Jeremy Noseda's Cleide da Silva who should appreciate the drop back in trip for her handicap debut and she gets the vote to open her account.
