Verdict
Dear Maurice is a bit of a course specialist and must be near the top of any shortlist for this handicap but Jeremy Noseda's PRINCE OF JOHANNE looks very interesting on his first run in these ranks while Tinshu is also worth a look. Having progressed in all three starts the selection confirmed his early promise by landing a warm looking maiden last time. He comfortably held a runner in fifth place who has since scored in this company off a mark of 75 so the pick's own rating of 73 looks fair if not a little lenient. Both of Dear Maurice's career wins have come over course and distance and although he was well held in second off this mark last time he was clear in that spot a repeat run will have him close again. Tinshu has twice been second best off this mark in three starts with the latest on her last run when just missing out over course and distance behind a subsequent winner. Another bold bid is expected but it might be minor honours again. More Time Tim is well treated based on his all-weather mark but he is best on the artificial surface so has something to prove and in a good looking race we feel Price of Joanne is well treated for his first start in handicap company.
