    In depth

    Verdict

Tamino has hit a rich vein of form and can land his third first prize in four outings, Fromsong and Rydal could be the main dangers. Hughie Morrison's charge took advantage of a dry patch of ground at Newbury last time out to score a comfortable victory. The ground conditions at present are more in his favour today and he can defy the handicapper. Fromsong has dropped back to a very tempting mark and six furlongs on fast ground are his ideal conditions. Rydal is lightly raced this campaign and has shown enough to suggest he will be winning sooner rather than later. Of the others Blue Aura would have claims on the pick of this season's form, but we return to Tamino as the more probable winner.
