Verdict

SIDNEY MELBOURNE has the best form on offer. He disappointed in a handicap here last month but first-time blinkers may sharpen him up and he has little to beat in this. Backhomeinderry was beaten only a length over a longer trip here on his penultimate start and it would be no surprise if the likes of Frontier Vic, River Dancing and Milor De La Borie showed a big improvement on their form to date. Annelko is rated higher on the Flat than fellow hurdling debutant Tallevu while Six of Clubs won twice on the Flat at Wolverhampton in December but has shown little in three starts over timber so far.
