      Verdict

Veteran Heir To Be goes well here, though today's ground is probably softer than ideal. Swift Chap got off the mark at Chepstow last time but today's extra distance is a bit of a worry considering he was a miler on the Flat. Kings Troop has become frustrating to follow but Airmen's Friend has a race like this in him judged on a promising comeback fourth at Ascot and is less exposed than last month's Fontwell third Festival Dreams and Chepstow runner-up Man Of Leisure. CALICO ROSE could be the one to beat, however, as she is weighted to reverse Chepstow running with Swift Chap and will relish the longer trip - her yard is going great guns at present.
