In depth

Verdict

PENCHESCO was arguably a little disappointing when beaten just over ten lengths in a similar contest last time at Fontwell but did run as if needing the race. He certainly boasts by far the strongest form on offer with previous placed efforts behind decent sorts in Iolith and Present To You and looks a solid proposition here with the champion jockey booked by Amanda Perrett. Petit Ecuyer, a French import for Gary Moore, is the obvious threat after showing much-improved form when reeled in on the run-in at Lingfield, whilst Ebony Diamond has shown enough to get into the mix.
