Verdict

Winning bumper Aonvarr has done well enough over timber to command respect though his best efforts have come on quicker ground and he faces a couple of very smart prospects. GREY MONK made a successful debut in a point-to-point before a fair run in a strong maiden hurdle at Leopardstown. He started odds-on when beaten into second by Balnagon Boy on very heavy ground at Fairyhouse in April but the remainder were well beaten and compensation awaits. Lord Of Lords will provide a real test as he could hardly have been more impressive when landing a Navan bumper in March of last year and looked in need of more experience on his hurdling debut at Fairyhouse last December. Dave's Stamper may prove best of the remainder but will need a great deal of improvement to get involved in the finish.
