In depth

Verdict

This first-ever Flat meeting at Wetherby looks like it's going to set punters plenty of questions. The opener looks particularly tricky but Polar Forest carried on at Musselburgh where he'd left off last season and goes on the short-list. Dark Ocean also made a winning reappearance, at Pontefract, but the third that day, Trinity Star, should get closer today and In Focus wouldn't be without a chance off joint bottom weight. Mick Easterby has had plenty of winner here over jumps and the booking of Kieren Fallon for KALK BAY catches the eye. He hasn't won since 2012 but was running well off higher marks in better races that this in the early part of last year and is likely to be well forward.
