Verdict

Dawn Ride has won five races over fences - four of them here including this race in 2009 from a 1lb higher mark. He can go well but this looks very competitive. I'm The Decider's two victories at Stratford came on very fast ground and he was well beaten in heavy conditions at Fontwell, but Seigneur Des Bois looked progressive last season and will have come on for a recent run over a trip too short here. Monsieur Jordain ran his best race for some time at Newcastle recently but connections of Quel Bruere won't be happy with a 2lb rise for being beaten twice. DUSKY BOB has improved since joining Brian Ellison and has scored over hurdles and fences. He looks well treated despite those victories and can complete a hat-trick, though Banoge also looks reasonably handicapped these days and was only just touched off at Hexham last time.
