Verdict

There is little to choose between Karashar and NATIONAL HERITAGE but the latter showed promise in bumpers prior to an improved effort over hurdles when chasing home I'm Delilah at Hexham earlier this month and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice in a poor contest that should not take much winning. Shoot Out comes here fit from the flat and has to be considered on his hurdling debut. Charlie Egerton's Highland Laddie was capable on the flat but has not shown much in two previous starts over hurdles so looks best watched. Josephine Malines lost her way on the level and did not seem at home over timber when pulled up at Hexham recently and of more interest should be the Evan Williams-trained Karashar, who has run to a reasonable level of form. Micky Hammond has his team in good order though and National Heritage looks to be going the right way so he gets the vote.
