In depth

Verdict

LONG WAVE has already won between the flags so the switch to fences isn't unexpected. He got off the mark over hurdles at Uttoxeter in July and will probably enjoy a fitness advantage over the majority of his rivals so is hard to oppose. Cara Court is the only other with a recent run under his belt. He was second over a shorter trip at Sedgefield at the start of the month. Susquehanna River was lightly-raced over hurdles and is another who should do well over the larger obstacles while Dark Glacier may do better for the switch to Peter Bowen but the others are probably best watched today.
