In depth

Verdict

YUROK made a winning seasonal debut when stepped up to today's trip at Carlisle. Sue Smith's half-brother to high-class hurdler Brave Inca has scope for plenty of improvement and can take this on his way to better things. Bumper winner Our Mick made a promising hurdling debut over 2m1f at Bangor last month when second to subsequent Grade 1 Challow Hurdle winner Backspin and he has to come into the reckoning over this longer distance. Soft ground may be a problem for Carlisle winner Bow Badger but Mr Supreme should cope after finishing a creditable fourth on his hurdling debut at Ayr recently.
