      Verdict

SIMONSIDE has been gradually improving over hurdles and justified strong support to score at Leicester. That event was run at a strong gallop and the longer distance shouldn't prove a problem. My Arch, who has won over 2m2f on the Flat, needs a thorough test of stamina which he should get here though he's looking a few pounds high in the weights at present. Descaro has also scored over a marathon trip on the level and this is his first attempt at this trip which should suit him. Scotswell is another with plenty of stamina and he only weakened at the last over 3m3f at Kelso last time while Rossmore Lad, a winner over the trip at Chepstow in October, found Listed company too hot to handle at Cheltenham and this is more his level.
