In depth

Verdict

This is an interesting little affair, with Eastborough given as the choice ahead of Hiddensee and Kristensen. Eastborough likes it here and this is his level so, from what seems a reasonable Turf rating, expect a good run. If he can get back to the form of his Haydock second from a rating of 89 last September, Hiddensee would hold good claims, and first-time blinkers are tried on him in the hope to achieve that. Pawn Broker is a light of his former best, but anywhere near even the best of his 2004 efforts would make him a player today. Kristensen would rate as a big player based on form of a year ago, and is respected, while recent hurdling winner Pseudonym seems to have taken to his new training surroundings and is another to be granted plenty of respect. Based on his blinkered-first-time win when last seen on the Flat, Legally Fast can't be ruled out of things, but the bottom two are well out of the weights so are hard to fancy. This returns us to the selection, which is Eastborough.
