In depth

Verdict

Newcastle winner Molo blotted her copy-book when pulled up at Fontwell last month in a race in which the exposed Morello Royale finished second. The latter was then third to Abigail Lynch at Wincanton but Nigel Twiston-Davies' mare will have to overcome a double penalty to complete her hat-trick. BRIERY BELLE was making her debut over hurdles when only beaten a head by Balmusette at Catterick with a previous winner five lengths away in third. Balmusette was second in a competitive handicap at Doncaster last week so the form looks solid and Henry Daly's six-year-old can find the necessary improvement to take this.
