Verdict

LYVIUS will start at very prohibitive odds here and is impossible to oppose. A dual winner on the Flat in Germany he made a winning start over hurdles at Kelso and though disappointingly beaten by Gottany O'S when odds-on at Newbury subsequently the winner could be something special. Double Fortune has shown the occasional promise but nothing to suggest she could give the selection a race while Engai, another Flat winner from Germany, has failed to show any worthwhile form over timber. Beggar's Velvet was tailed off on his hurdling debut at Carlisle a month ago but may appreciate the quicker ground.
