Verdict

PEVERIL has a lot of weight to carry but he looks potentially very smart; Bescot Springs, Firm Order and Kennel Hill looks the three main dangers in a race with a bit of dead wood. The selection has been off for two months since a good win at Leicester on his hurdling bow. He should have learnt plenty from that and he can concede weights to all but one of his rivals. The other penalised runner is The Giant Bolster who also comers here on the back of a mini break. He was outclassed behind Duke Of Lucca last time out but can bounce back in this easier grade. Bescott Springs ran well at Ffos Las last month, Firm Order's effort behind Salden Licht is solid and he ran well next time up at Fakenham, whilst Handtheprizeover will be one for handicaps after this start. Hermoso needs a market check as this former Irish point-to-pointer makes his debut under rules, Ironical looks like he needs a bit more time, whilst Rester Vrai and Roko Dancer should be monitored for market support, especially the latter whose Silver Kate form is solid. Kennel Hill has faced some stiff opposition of late but he sets the standard on his second to Tell Massini in December although he is yet to win. We return to Peveril as the selection.
