Verdict

Musnad is sure to be popular on his return to action as he was a decent fifth in a hot Doncaster maiden on his debut and followed that up with a fourth over a mile at Newmarket. Today's better ground will aid his cause but the drop in distance is a slight concern and, on that account, we prefer ANOINT. William Haggas' son of Pivotal stayed on strongly when second on his debut at Doncaster in November after showing signs of inexperience. The first and third have both franked the form since and he is fancied to open his account today. Dark Isle found only Sylvestris too good over C&D last month and should make the frame again but Luca Cumani's four-year-old Media Hype will probably do better when tackling handicaps later in the year.
