Verdict

Overton Lad beat today's rival Feeling Peckish in this in 2009 and was second in the race in 2010. But the 11-year-old was tailed off last year and seems to reserve his best for Towcester nowadays. KILCASCAN appeared to show improved form at Uttoxeter last time, beating Thirty Two Red by six lengths. That margin would have been greater had he not hit the last and the placings should be confirmed here. Rosemary Glasson's charge is preferred to Wincanton runner-up Dunkelly Castle, though the latter is in better form than Magical Treasure and will probably be more race-fit than top weight Pacha D'Oudairies.
