In depth

Verdict

In a tricky race, Art Currency is selected ahead of Silent Master and We're Delighted. There are plenty to consider here and ones that we are going to give a mention to are as follows. Art Currency, narrowly beaten at Brighton last time; the Barry Hills-trained Ballochroy, who showed improvement on run two at Newbury last time; Long Distance, who showed some promise on his Newmarket debut; Mwindaji, who, relatively speaking, was not beaten far despite only beating two home at Newbury last time; Mark Johnston's Silent Master, who showed promise on his debut and the step up to seven furlongs should suit today; the Peter Chapple-Hyam-trained newcomer Trudder; and Mick Channon's We're Delighted, who was sent off as favourite at Newbury last time and finished just behind Ballochroy. The interesting newcomer is Celt, although he may need this debut run, and the 68,000 guineas purchase Maximus Aurelius has shown promise in each start and should have better to come. The market will tell us more but, overall, the vote goes to Art Currency.
