CRACKENTORP is put forwards in the hope that he can bounce back to his best on his return from a break; if he fails to then Mick's Dancer could be the one to take advantage from Alcalde. Ralph Beckett enjoyed a successful weekend so the string is clearly in good form which bodes well for the chances of Crackentorp who hasn't been seen since disappointing behind Drill Sergeant in June. However, his narrow defeat behind Red Merlin on his seasonal reappearance certainly reads well and a reproduction of that form should see him account for this field. Mick's Dancer has formed an effective partnership with Darryll Holland and looks sure to give a good account of himself despite being handed another 3lbs for his Folkestone second. Cheshire Prince has run well here in the past and can't be ignored, Sequillo is game and consistent whilst Dubai Crest is more than capable on his day. Alcalde has struggled of late but he's run in a couple of warm races and runners from his yard are ignored at your peril but we'll take that chance and side with Crackentorp.
