In depth

Verdict

A tricky apprentice handicap to finish the card and we will give a sporting vote to Choristar, Granary Girl and Icannshift are two others expected to run well. The selection gained an overdue success at Beverley last time out, comfortably beating Kentuckian on similar ground to today's. There could be more to come and a six pound penalty may not stop him following up. Granary Girl landed a modest handicap at Leicester last time out and could still be on a decent enough mark, she looks good for a place. Icannshift has been in consistent form all season and put in another solid effort last time when chasing home Tayman at Folkestone. The ground holds no fears and a big run is expected. Tangarita is another worthy of a mention but on this occasion we will side with Choristar.
