Verdict

STAND ASIDE gets a tentative vote in this finale as he wasn't beaten far on his debut for Tom Taaffe at Leopardstown in March. Two of the four who finished ahead that day have won since so the form looks decent and he should find further improvement under Jonjo O'Neill. Heated Debate went close twice at Roscommon in the summer when with Charlie Swan while Spring Wolf was only beaten a neck at Exeter in April on his racecourse debut. Winning pointers Lough Derg Walk and Missed Approach are also worth a second look as are newcomers Allycat, Ted's Lad and The Shropshire Lad.
