RIVERSCAPE is preferred to Washango and Halling Gal. Gordon Elliott's raiders invariably make their mark at this side of the Irish Sea and this could be no exception. She can be forgiven a below par run last time out as the ground went on the softer side and her better form has obtained when it has been distinctly on the quicker side of matters. Washango won well at Worcester despite a couple of early errors though she is sure to progress again. Halling Gal was disappointing at Ffos Las in April and as there was clearly something amiss, the absence is therefore understandable. Basford Tara has been busy over the summer period though is invariably vulnerable to anything with ability. Carrifran has not shown a great deal in her career thus far but she is with a trainer who is more than capable of gleaning improvement for more time. The remainder appear modest at best. This race can realistically be put down to three rivals and Riverscape possesses the best profile.
