Verdict

This probably won't take much winning so Rossbrin has every chance of following up last month's Huntingdon win off a 6lb higher mark. Royal Chatelier would probably have been placed had he not fallen at Hereford last time but Mater Mater has run poorly either side of her second in a moderate contest at Fakenham and Baggsy only won a seller at Towcester in the autumn. A Bid Too Far will probably need this so we'll take a chance on top weight TAKAMARU, who has shown ability in better company and wasn't given a terribly inspired ride at Taunton last time. The blinkers are persevered with and Tom Scudamore is likely to have the gelding a lot nearer the pace today.
