There is little for backers to go on here with only two having raced previously, and, with Crow Spinney likely to struggle under her penalty, the vote goes to ALDERLEY ROVER who gets the verdict ahead of Quazy de Joie, who looks the pick of the newcomers. The selection only found Karabak three lengths too good on his debut at Market Rasen when last seen in April and Don McCain's gelding has every chance if able to reproduce the form shown there. Richard Phillips has had a quiet time of late so his runner Mr Mackay looks best watched and of more interest may be Henrietta Knight's newcomer King of Leon, who is related to several winners. Don McCain's Joe's A Boy, who is out of an unraced sister to Grand National winner Royal Athlete and Mick Easterby's Sharadiyn are other interesting newcomers. Jonjo O'Neill's Quazy de Joie is related to winners over fences in France and is another to consider but it is Alderley Rover that gets the vote.
