In depth

Verdict

Only an ordinary affair and On The Off Chance must have every chance of recouping losses incurred when only fourth at Worcester. Binowagh Bay has won at Cartmel and been second at Hexham in two previous raids across the Irish Sea while Dancing Emily may not have handled soft ground last time and is lightly raced. A win and two seconds at Worcester put Princesse Fleur on the short-list, but she has gone up a further 7lb and we'd rather take a chance on QUEEN OF EPIRUS. Brian Rothwell's mare has yet to win a race of any description but she did show promise when fourth at Catterick when last seen over timber and hasn't been disgraced over 1m4f on the Flat recently. She could be well handicapped.
