Verdict

Rebecca Curtis runs newcomer In The West, who was a £10,000 buy at Ascot's July sales and is a half-brother to winners on the Flat and over jumps. But it's difficult to get away from stablemate THESPIS OF ICARIA, the mount of A P McCoy and a full brother to smart middle-distance performers Islington, Greek Dance, New Morning and Election Day. It would be no surprise to see the five-year-old in staying races on the level in the future but, in the meantime, he can follow up his easy Hereford win under a penalty here. Court In Session has won four times between the flags and looks a decent prospect under Rules but may need further and a softer surface and appears up against a classy individual today.
