In depth

Verdict

Diamond Joshua can land the seller at the expense of Antony Ebeneezer, Red Nose Lady and La Rose to name but three. Michael Scudamore has his small team ticking over nicely with the assistance of son Peter and grandson Tom, and may add to his tally here with Diamond Joshua who is slowly improving with each run of late. The six-year-old has dropped from a mark of 100 in January to 83, and that should help in his bid to improve on his third behind Uncle Max at Hereford three weeks ago. Antony Ebeneezer was only seven lengths behind High Action at Wetherby so commands respect, while Red Nose Lady ran out of steam when trying to make all at Hexham and may do better with a bit more restraint. La Rose takes a drop in grade but may need this first outing since March, and Faddad may fare better with the step down in distance. Just Midas should be noted in the market but is nothing special, and for the winner we return to the well-handicapped Diamond Joshua.
