Verdict

GALLIK DAWN won an ultra competitive race at Stratford last month and is given the strong vote to win again at the expense of Native City and Waynesworld. The selection was extremely well handicapped when winning at Stratford last time out and is now nine pounds higher as a result. He had been running well in decent Hunter Chases prior to that win and with conditions to suit once again he is difficult to oppose. Native City won at Worcester and Towcester last season but he is not the easiest of horses to win with. He is a difficult ride that would prefer to finish second than to put his head in front, but with Tony McCoy on board to give him all the assistance from the saddle he has to be respected. Waynesworld has tumbled down the weights after failing in Hunter Chases this season. That said he is now running off a more favourable mark of 102 so any support in the market should be noted. Gallik Dawn however is a true stayer who loves fast ground and with more ticks in his boxes compared to his rivals he is not to be overlooked.
