Verdict

VIKING RIDGE's debut third over C&D last month looks head and shoulders above anything achieved by his rivals so far and, with improvement likely, Kim Bailey's five-year-old is difficult to oppose. Lucky Vic ran his best race so far when fourth at Towcester in February but hasn't been seen since and Cian Boy and Fearless Leader, who have hinted at ability, are preferred. Valleyofmilan was third in a bumper here on his debut under Rules but probably best watched on his hurdles bow.
