Verdict

Glen Countess won over hurdles at Warwick last month and Saved By John always looked a chaser in the making over hurdles. He returns from a break here, however, so preference is for PAUSE AND CLAUSE. Successful in two Class 2 events over hurdles in the past, he's been quite highly tried over the smaller obstacles but surely has a future at chasing and his trainer often sends her best novices here for an education. Mark Twain still has time on his side and is also worth a second look.
