In depth

Verdict

It wasn't surprising when Tim's Approach was sent off favourite at Naas in August as he'd made a very promising debut behind Tornado Bob at Cork in May. He's surely better than he showed last time and could be good enough to make amends though ACADEMY ROSE gets the nod. Tom Mullins' mare showed only moderate form in three Punchestown bumpers before an excellent run over timber at Thurles last month and with that under her belt she can revert to this sphere with a victory. Raggletagglegypsy appeared to enjoy stepping up to 2m3f at Limerick last time and may get outpaced here. Schinkel is bred to be useful over jumps and is one to note for the future.
